Each year, The Writers Guild of Alberta invites shortlisted writers to meet each other and read from their shortlisted works. This is always a great afternoon that sets the stage for our awards celebration. This year’s Alberta Literary Awards Gala will take place on Saturday, June 4 at SAIT in Calgary.

This class will combine short lessons, activities, writing time, and individual coaching to help you find stories you want to tell, and put them on the page in a compelling way. We’ll also talk about careers in writing, how to get published, writer’s groups, and educational opportunities.
